Clara and Josh first met at a Halloween party in the fall of
2007. The connection was undeniable and they dated for a few months but the
timing just wasn’t right and they ended up parting ways and loosing contact
with each other over time. Five years later, as fate would have it, Clara was invited
to a Halloween party hosted by Josh’s brother. Neither of them knew the other
was coming to the party. That night, Josh’s costume of choice was a green lycra
body suit that covered him from head to toe. Such a bold choice and he was cool
with his decision that is until he saw the gorgeous Clara arrive at the party
as a cute cowgirl and he immediately knew why his brother told him to go as a
cowboy. So he quickly changed into his regular clothes and went over and talked
to her and of course it was instant connection. They hit it off again but the
timing still wasn’t right. Over the course of the next year both of their lives
changed and in October of 2013 Josh knew he couldn’t stand another day without
Clara in his life so he woke up one morning and decided to text her out for a
date. He asked her out to dinner and a trip to a Haunted House and his time the
timing was perfect and the rest is history!
Now engaged it’s only fitting that their wedding be in
October to celebrate the time of year they fell in love! One look at Clara and
Josh as a couple and you can tell they were meant to be together. They’re cute
and goofy with each other, they support each other in every area and their love
is so genuine it’s almost tangible. I had the privilege to drive up north to
Sedona, AZ for a fun afternoon Engagement session with them at Los Abrigados
Resort and Red Rock Crossing. The afternoon lighting was perfect and I couldn’t
be happier with the locations we chose!
We couldn’t take advantage of the resort’s creek side as
they had an afternoon wedding set-up but we did manage to grab a few shots in
the lawn before deciding to head out to another location.
As we were walking back to the car I couldn’t help but
notice the gorgeous warm light pouring through this little stair way and we
managed to take a few casual pictures on the steps. These were some of my
favorites.
For those of you that might not know, Josh is a huge comic book fan and of course Clara had to join in the Batman fun :)
We headed up to Red Rock crossing about an hour before
sunset and the views were priceless! Everywhere you look there’s a secret
corner begging to be photographed!
I love these under the tree! You can see just how sweet and
deep their love is for each other!
The spring flowers were so cozy! Such an inviting landscape
and gorgeous spot for them to snuggle up!
Sedona is known for its Red Rocks!

Another secret hideaway with the most amazing light and some
of my favorite photos from the session!
Lastly the Red Rock Crossing bedrocks! We had a little hike,
and I had an adventure with the creek but after walking a short distance we
arrived at the bedrocks! I love these shots, you can see the joy and silliness
they bring out of each other and the undeniable love they carry for one
another. I am so exciting for their upcoming wedding! Wishing you both a
lifetime of happiness together!
